For the past few years I have been a little preoccupied with a personal problem but I was compelled to return. Want to know what "Occupy Wall Street" is all about? Look no further.
This type of economic and social injustice is exactly the same that allowed the radical writings of Karl Marx to resonate with the poor in the early 20th Century. Obviously that little experiment was a failure (ironically due to the same corruption that created it). However, the economic and social instability borne from that can cripple a nation and the entire world for decades. There is nothing wrong with being rich. But greed and avarice is never acceptable.
Politicians like to use the term "class warfare" and try to act like Occupy Wall Street is some kind of first strike. It isn't: It is actually a counterattack against the class warfare that began in the early 80s. Frankly it's about time.
